Introduction

Since time immemorial, Kshatriya has carried out the responsibility of fighting for truth and justice in the world. The Kshatra-tradition of destroying the devilish and protecting the pious is imparative for the existence of the world. The Kshatriyas ensured the continuity of this tradition by their incomparable selfless sacrifices and on the foundation of this tradition Indian culture and civilisation flourished and reached the pinnacle of every aspect of life. When eyes of uncivilised and undeveloped foreigners fell upon the material and spiritual prosperity of India, also known then as Vishwaguru and golden sparrow, they tried to plunder and destroy India’s wealth by force and deceit. The Kshatriyas fought for centuries against these invasions of barbaric forces on India’s wealth and honor. Even by sacrificing their everything, they tried to protect India and its cultural identity. This centuries-long struggle not only destroyed the military power and dominance of the Kshatriyas in country, but at the same time the enemy also tried to weaken the Kshatriya character by means of deception. As a result, when India was moving towards its independence after hundreds of years of slavery, the whole country was looking forward to its new future. Different classes and sects of Indian society were contemplating their role in the new system of new India, but the Kshatriya society was in a state of bewilderment at that time. By foresaking its ‘Swadharma’ (Duty conferred by one’s own nature) which was founded on the selfless sacrifices of generations, Kshatriya society itself had reached a point where it was on brink of being forsaken. The Kshatriya, who had always been the pioneer of the world, be it Rama or Krishna or Buddha or Mahavira or many others, and who always had shown the right path to humanity, was lost himself. At such crucial juncture of history, revered Tansingh Ji acknowledged the need of the hour and founded Shri Kshatriya Yuvak Sangh with aim to engage Kshatriyas in their Swadharma once again.

At first, Shri Kshatriya Yuvak Sangh was formally established in 1944. It was established by Revered Tansingh Ji along with some of his companions while studying at the Rajput hostel of Pilani. At that time he was 20 years old. The initial activities of the organisation were limited to holding conferences, yearly sessions and passing resolutions. The very first session of the organisation was held on 5-6, May 1945 in Jodhpur (Rajasthan) and the second session was held on 11-12, May 1946 in Kalipahari village of Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. But Tansingh ji found these activities insufficient and incomplete to attain the objective which he envisaged at the time of establishment of this organisation. He felt that it was not possible to transform his vision into reality with such a formal and limited system. Meanwhile, he went to Nagpur to study law. During this time, keeping in touch with many other institutions, he had kept looking for a suitable and practical system for the organisation. With his experience and insight, he designed a system which he named as ‘Collective system of Sanskar and Karma’ for the Shri Kshatriya Yuvak Sangh. Thereafter, on 21 December 1946, he convened a meeting of the members of the erstwhile executive of the Sangh at Malsisar House on Station Road, Jaipur and proposed the new system. Revered Tansingh Ji explained in detail to all the members about his ideology, purpose and proposed system. After getting the consent from all members present in the meeting, Shri Kshatriya Yuvak Sangh in its present form was established on the very next day i.e. on December 22, 1946. The first camp of Shri Kshatriya Yuvak Sangh was organized in Jaipur itself from 25-31 December.
