Revered Tan Singh Ji visited Chittorgarh in December 1950 and wrote down his silent exchange with the fort under the title ‘Vairagi Chittor’. In February 1958, he visited the memorial of ‘Durga Baba’ (Durgadas Rathore) situated on the banks of Kshipra river and felt the pain of that memory and wrote it down with the title ‘Kshipra Ke Teer’. He visited Haldighati in May 1959 and expressed the concealed dialogue with the Great Chetak and title it ‘Chetak Ki Samadhi Se’. In October 1959, he wrote down the solicitous dialogue with the neglected fort of Jaisalmer with the title ‘Honhar Ke Khel’. Under the title ‘Kaum Ki Kutiya’, he examined the present in the light of past and envisaged the future. Compilation of these five essays came into existent in the form of a book which was published in 1961.
