Jails and schools are the places to teach. On principle, Jail is not considered a punishment but a place to correct and reform the convicts. Thus, teachers in the schools and administrators in the jail have significant role in building of a nation. But are the Indian jails following this principle? During the Bhuswami Movement in 1956 revered Tan Singh Ji voluntarily got arrested himself and was kept in Tonk jail. The misconduct of jail administration with Tan Singh Ji and his companions on instructions of then Rajasthan Government due to political reasons was written down and published in Sangh Shakti magazine from January 1960 to December 1960. Those accounts were compiled and published as a book in 1990.
